Kayladene Choc Royal (Merlot) is owned by Geraldine's husband John however Geraldine trains & runs Merlot in Agility, Merlot is a lovable boy who loves cuddles & mooches but never turns down a chance to work. Merlot has a heap of enthusiasm for agility and tells everyone when he barks his way around the agility course he loves every bit of it. Merlot has had an impressive agility career to date:

  • He was Runner Up in Top Dog Jumping in 2009 in Victoria.

  • In March 2010 before the age of 5 yrs old Merlot gained his Agility Champion title 2 years after he started competing in the agility ring.

  • Merlot also made the Victorian Teams Event in 2010 to represent Victoria at the Agility Nationals event in Perth WA with his litter sister (Kirra) Kayladene Triple Choc.

  • He was also a finalist in three out of four events at the Nationals in Perth 2010, Open Jumping, Masters Jumping and Masters Agility.

  • Merlot also won 2010 Perpetual trophies at Croydon District Obedience Dog Club for Masters Agility Dog of the Year and Masters Jumping Dog of the Year.
